[PRE-ORDER] DLK Hobby 1/100 ZAW_S01 IBIS Streptopelia

5 star service from Hobby Zone btw, the 4 stars is purely a review of the product.
The good: It's a MASSIVE build project that took me many evenings to chip away at, building the skeleton frame, first layer of armour, then all the outer armour sections. Applying all the water-slide decals took over a day in itself! The end result is, IMO, an extremely cool looking robot with a massive gun, that is very poseable and with a ton of configuration options and extras. Sitting back and seeing it finally all done I feel a real sense of achievement. It almost makes me forget about....
The not-so-good: The build process was not 100% smooth. There are a number of absolutely tiny parts, a small number feel like they just don't fit right until you squint at the instructions and discover they are supposed to have a bit of a gap. The instructions themselves are a bit basic. There are tiny stick-on decals for red and green 'lights' which are just 'eww' and in retrospect I wish I'd just painted on, the hands are fiddly to swap out, and a small number of the parts are a bit loose and would probably need to be glued in place if you planned on handling the model a lot.

Still, I do love the end result, and it's hard to argue with the sheer amount of stuff you get in the box for the asking price.
