Lingjihun Pacific Rim Crimson Typhoon Action Figure
An unknown manufacturer for me, Lingjihun have produced one of the greatest mech figures to date, blowing the Neca Pacific Rim figures out the water while not overbloating the price to do so like some Pacific Rim Merch manufacturers.
The figure scales roughly with the Neca line meaning Crimson is compatible with their Kaiju figures which is fantastic to see given we don’t get PR Kaiju figures these days so the old figures are all we have to battle our Jaegers.
Lingjihun have done immeasurably well to pack this figure full of detail and articulation. All three arms are articulated at the shoulders, elbows and wrists and feature swappable parts to their saw blade versions… something Neca missed out on in their figure.
The legs, torso and head are all fully articulated too, with even piston effect pieces in place on the rear of the knees which is cool to see.
What really makes the figure ‘pop’ in a display however is the high level of texture detailing and metallic paintwork. No flat red and smooth panelling on this figure like was the case with Neca’s Crimson.
All the movie panel lines and textures are well captures across the model and the paintjob on top of that just helps to bring out all the detailing.
The Crimson ‘team’ logos look fantastic and all the lettering and kill marks are well applied too.
LED features are included via small button cell batteries for the head cockpit glow and rear thruster exhausts. Lingjihun even included flame effects to plug into the exhausts for added effect to simulate the ‘thunder cloud formation’
While pricier than a Neca figure, pricing is consistent to higher end 6-9 inch scale figures like Sh Figuarts, Mafex etc and you still get a lot of bulk and paintwork for that price too.
While not originally my favourite Jaeger, this figure does massively well to make me appreciate it’s design much more and I am sooo looking forward to their Gipsy Danger and eventual Striker releases that we’ve seen prototyped.
Great company, fast dispatch, great comms. Product is amazing.
