Good quality Plastics, optional for clear parts, Bog stand included in the kit. This kit has a bit of everything that goes that little bit beyond a bandai kit in lots of little ways that make up for an impressive overall look.
There is lots of detail in the inner frame, good scope for panel lining (although everyone seems to be out of Tamiya panel liner so I have had to try a bunch of new things on this kit for panel lining), good color separation, lots of options for using the parts like twin shields or a sort of halberd/ mecha trident. Tonnes of effect parts and multi-colour decals, (I haven't gotten around to doing the decals on mine yet).
The Model kit had a lot of layers and despite painting more than half a dozen of the inner frame runners in metallic colors there is only a hint here and there of that because there are just so many armor pieces in the 3 blue colors.
REALLY impressed.
